DETAILS:    Join us for an intensive weekend of Lavender 101 and beyond. Saturday learn how to choose the varieties for your desired usage, choose varieties for your region, and choose an optimal planting site (bring pictures of diagrams of your site). Hands-on outside in the garden. Prep your ground, differences in growth habit, pruning, propagating, harvesting, bud removal. Network with other growers. Insurance and liability issues. How to expand your income potential/revenue stream with agritourism, weddings, events, festivals, etc. Sunday value add: turn your crop into additional income. Learn about locating suppliers, wholesale/private label/retail. Hands-on classes: Lotion bars and balms, bath bombs/shower steamers. Take home all recipes and your goodies. Lodging can be arranged. Alternate activities for non-attending spouses available.
