DETAILS: Lavender 101 and beyond, how to start a Lavender farm. Join us for a 2 day long intensive workshop which begins with choosing cultivars and their usage (to decide what you want to plant), continues with methods of growing, harvesting and cleaning your crop. The weekend also includes the insurance and business basics of running a lavender farm, agritourism and how to expand an existing business into a year round business. Sunday afternoon is our product making session with take home goodies. The emphasis of our academy is the hands on component of actually working out in the Lavender. I believe in learning by doing… anyone can watch a video but most of us learn with the touch, feel and smell of our subject.
